Mailens ("we", "us", "our") operates the mailens.net website and the app.mailens.net application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if you choose to sign in with GitHub, your GitHub profile information (username and email address). If you create a password-based account, we store a securely hashed version of your password—we never store passwords in plain text.

Cloudflare connection

To use Mailens, you connect your Cloudflare account via OAuth. We store the OAuth tokens necessary to manage your Cloudflare Email Routing configuration on your behalf. These tokens are encrypted at rest.

Email data

Mailens processes emails through Cloudflare Email Routing. Incoming emails are received, stored, and displayed within your Mailens account. We do not sell, share, or use your email content for advertising purposes.

Usage data

We collect basic usage data such as page views and feature interactions to improve the service. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Mailens service
  • To authenticate your identity and secure your account
  • To manage your Cloudflare Email Routing configuration on your behalf
  • To send you service-related communications (e.g., email verification, account deletion confirmation)
  • To improve and develop new features

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure (Workers, D1, R2). We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted OAuth tokens, and hashed passwords. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

  • With Cloudflare: Your Cloudflare account is connected via OAuth to enable email routing functionality.
  • With GitHub: If you use GitHub login, authentication is handled through GitHub OAuth.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Your Rights

You can:

  • Access and update your account information in Settings
  • Disconnect your Cloudflare account at any time
  • Delete your account permanently, which removes all your data from our systems
  • Export your data by contacting us

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Children's Privacy

Mailens is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date.
